Located right on the bay, The Village of Baytowne Wharf offers a fun variety of dining options, shops, entertainment, and nightlife. This quaint complex is nestled within the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

Grab a bite or a beverage, sit outside, and take in the sights and sounds of beautiful Baytowne. Challenge your family to a few games at the arcade, indulge in ice cream for dessert, and let the younger kids burn off some energy at the fantastic play area. Seeking excitement? Experience the thrill of the zipline or push your limits on the adventure course.

If you're planning to visit Destin, Crab Island is a must. This popular spot is celebrated for its shallow, clear waters, serving as a massive floating playground from April to October. It's undoubtedly one of the top vacation attractions in Florida and a favorite among those visiting the Emerald Coast.

On weekends, you'll find hundreds of boats dotting the waters. Numerous shuttle services specialize in Crab Island excursions, and there are plenty of nearby boat rental companies offering half or full-day rentals. We have personally rented pontoon boats from Wet N Wild Watersports and Luther's Pontoons, both providing excellent service. 

It's important to note that high tide presents the best opportunity to enjoy the clearest emerald waters, and the excursion should be navigated by an experienced boater. Weekdays generally offer a quieter experience than weekends.

 Remember to stay hydrated, bring plenty of sunscreen and cash for the vendors, and be cautious of the strong currents that can occur. Additionally, please be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty, and swimming or paddling to Crab Island from the shore is unsafe due to the strong and unpredictable currents in the channel. 

Destin's favorite destination for shopping, food, and fun is Destin Commons. This vibrant outdoor mall features a fantastic lineup of stores and restaurants, along with entertainment options like movies and bowling. We enjoy strolling through the shops, whether we're searching for a specific item or planning a family dinner and treat. Take a moment to unwind on The Lawn and let your younger kids enjoy the play area.

 Destin Commons | Best Mall & Shopping in Destin, FL 

This classic gem on the Emerald Coast has been preserved like a time capsule. This is hands down our favorite place to play mini golf. The nostalgia is thick and it's cash only, so come prepared. They have two old-school challenging courses, making it a super affordable outing for family fun along the Emerald Coast. We always have such a great time! They are located on Eglin Parkway in Fort Walton Beach.

RadBar is a unique retro arcade bar that combines classic gaming with a fun, laid-back atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a variety of vintage arcade games, pinball machines, and game consoles for a $10 all-you-can-play admission fee. The bar also offers a large selection of beer and wine. All ages are welcome until 9pm, making this a nostalgic and entertaining experience for everyone.  

 Southern Star is the original dolphin cruise company in Destin, located right on the beautiful Destin Harbor.  Onboard you'll find plenty of shade available, a restroom and a small indoor seating area serving snacks and beverages, making it perfect for family fun in Destin.

During this 1.5-hour cruise, passengers will be treated to stunning views as they cruise through the Destin Harbor, explore the Destin Jetties, East Pass, Crab Island, and the captivating Destin Coastline (conditions permitting). The highlight of the trip is watching the sun sink into the water while returning to the dock.

Keep in mind that parking is limited at Harborwalk Village. If you're planning to enjoy this popular activity during the busy vacation months, it's wise to arrive early to secure parking and ample time for boarding. You won't be able to board the cruise until your entire party is present.

Located in the heart of Downtown Fort Walton, SudsNCinema is a special theater rich in history. This theater dates back to the 1940s and offers first-run movies alongside value matinees. Guests can enjoy a menu featuring classic movie concessions as well as a variety of appetizers and entrees. Arrive early to secure the best seats in the house, as this popular destination is known to sell out quickly. Don't miss out on this unique nostalgic attraction!

The Track Family Fun Park is one of the premier Emerald Coast activities that offers something for everyone. You can choose from five exciting go-kart tracks, including the iconic triple-decker Wild Woody. With enjoyable options catering to both young children and those seeking bigger thrills, it’s a fantastic way to enjoy a few hours of family fun in Destin when you need a break from the beach.

Duplin Winery, the oldest and largest winery in The South, now has a location in Panama City Beach.  Featuring wine tastings, small bites, and entertainment, the winery has quickly become a place that we love to visit.  Sit for a wine tasting, then grab a full pour of your favorite while taking in the beautiful views from their outdoor patio. The extensive gift shop is well stocked with an assortment of their muscadine wines along with unique gifts and take-home treats. This is an outing that we genuinely enjoy every time, and I highly recommend making a stop here next time you're in the Panama City Beach area.

 Duplin Winery | Sweet Wines 

Such a fun way to spend some time off the beach in PCB! This experience immerses you in a real game-show-style studio, complete with a live host, lights, buzzers, and a series of fast-paced mini-games. Teams compete in everything from trivia and strategy to speed and silly challenges, so you never quite know what’s coming next! It’s a fantastic option for families, friends, and birthday celebrations. The experience lasts about an hour and is recommended for ages 6 and up.
